The renovation of this 20 year old ‘passive
solar’ home lightens and brightens, and updates the house in terms
of energy efficiency, finishes, and integration with the landscape. Windows
have been double glazed, with the heavier frames, which restricted the
outlook, being replaced by large double glazed panes in a minimal frame.
The Outdoor Living area is made more useable throughout the seasons by
glazing the windy aspects and providing a solid roof.
