Building costs for lightweight construction start from $1500 per square metre.
Buildings with a good amount of thermal mass can cost around $2200 per square metre, measured externally.
For example, using the square metre price of $2200 a house of 150 square metres (approximately 15.6 squares) could cost $330,000, and
a house of 200 square metres (approximately 20.8 squares) could cost $440,000.
Note: these prices are for custom building in a range of materials.

Professional fees are not included. A quotation can be provided after discussion of your requirements.
On rural properties, the costs of providing infrastructure such as water tanks, waste treatment plants, power supply, and site works can add significantly to the project cost.
The following items may be required for your new home, and are not included in the square metre price estimated above:
